Entrepreneurs
Entrepreneurs looking for our financial and managerial support must submit
an executive summary of their business plan. The executive
summary should, at least, address the following topics.
- Uniqueness of product/service/technology. Indicate
notably what problem(s) your offering solves for its user and what
compelling benefits it brings to its user/buyer.
- Competitive environment. In addition to direct
competitive offerings, also analyze competing alternatives and substitutes, and demonstrate how you intend to
prevail. List your patents, trademarks and other proprietary barriers that may favor your undertaking.
- Business and market strategy. Show clear milestones
 to be
reached at regular intervals of time. Explain key assumptions, plans and
programs to achieve the objectives linked to these milestones.
- Financial projections. Reflecting the business and
marketing
strategy, these projections should also demon-strate the funding
need. Be specific on the use of funds.
- Proposed exit strategy for our member investors.
- Brief history of the company and its key managers,
highlighting their education and experience pertinent to the goals,
industry and market of the company
The executive summary should not exceed 5 pages (Arial -11). When we
examine your executive summary, we’ll pay particular attention to the
compelling market strength of your concept, the sound articulation of your
business approach, and the competence and experience of your team.
Our investment process comprises seven key steps:

- Pre-selection of funding requests by our selection committee
- Presentation by the selected entrepreneur to our group

- Investment management and business assistance
- Implementation of exit strategy
We strive to proceed expeditiously through the first two steps and will
offer some assistance in advance of the presentation. While we will take
precautions to maintain the confidentiality of executive summaries, we do
not sign confidentiality agreements, as is common practice in the industry.
